Reagan Era

It was a time when our enemy was not each other but other countries who disagreed with American freedoms.

I grew up in the Reagan era!! I can remember my family gathering around the dinner table for Thanksgiving and talking about how they admired him. How they felt he was one of the greatest presidents we had ever had. (…and a mention or two of their favorite Reagan movie!!!) How he was strong against communism. They would speak of his love of country and freedom. The one thing I remember the most is EVERYONE agreed. It was a time when our enemy was not each other but other countries who disagreed with American freedoms. I am thankful I was alive to witness his presidency. I LOVE this country but it is not the same America I grew up knowing. We are not the strong country governed with Judeo-Christian values. I miss the era when we were all on the same side and our enemies were other countries.
